Cleveland Musical Theatre Masterclass with David Holbert

For Middle School to High School Students

Join professional performer and NYC-based teaching artist David Holbert, along with a live accompanist, for a high-energy, confidence-building Acting Through Song masterclass!

Dates & Times:

-Tuesday, June 10th | 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM

-Wednesday, June 11th | 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM

-Thursday, June 12th | 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM

David has performed on Broadway, in a national tour, with the Disney Cruise Line, and has appeared in TV/Film. Over the past three years, he’s worked as a teaching artist across NYC, teaching theatre to students from Pre-K to 12th grade. His mission is to help each young performer build confidence, connect authentically to their material, and grow both artistically and personally.

With the support of a professional accompanist, students will bring a song of their choice and work closely with David on storytelling, emotional connection, and performance technique. His approach celebrates what already works and strengthens what needs support, all within a fun and encouraging environment.

Cost: $20 per student
Payment can be made via Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or cash. If paying in cash, please bring exact change and submit payment upon arrival.

Once the Google Form is filled out, David will reach out directly with payment details before providing the class location address. Classes will be held in Woodmere, Ohio.

A fun, energetic theatre experience for students ages 6-12, filled with games, singing, movement, and more!

Parents or guardians will be asked to remain on-site during the event. You are welcome to sit in on the class or wait in the designated waiting area.

Wassup!

David Holbert was born and raised in the Village of Woodmere, an eastern suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. After high school he enrolled at Baldwin Wallace University in nearby Berea. His desire was to further develop his vocal, dance, and acting talents in the rigors of the conservatory.

Holbert has performed on Broadway in New York (The Lion King), cast in the national tour of the Tony Award Winning Musical, The Color Purple. He has worked in several regional theaters, including Karamu House; Great Lakes Theater; the Clinton Area Showboat; and Idaho Shakespeare Fest outdoor amphitheater. Recently David was last seen on the Disney Wish!

When he is not belting out a show tune or catapulting across stage, odds are you’ll find him sharing his skills with students eager to hone their own entertainment career. To him, entertaining, inspiring, and teaching others, is second nature and a passion that brings him immense joy.
